Saving money to pay off student loans and consumer debt

Paying off Husband’s Baby Student Loan

Now that husband is employed and not enrolled in school, it is time to pay his student loans. Good thing they are itty-bitty compared to mine. So I decided to pay off the loans by mystery shopping and writing articles. As the beaucoup bux goes into my paypal account, I will send it off to the loan company.

Husband’s Student Loans

$98.19
$146.09
$160.44

So far I earned $20 hitting the computer store down the street from my house and writing about the interaction. It will take up to 2 months to get the money but when I do get it, off to loan #1…

Husband’s Student Loan Goof

Ahh husband. What am I going to do with him?

When I started eliminating debt, I asked husband how much he still owed on his student loans. He is a grad student so his loans are in deferment but if we could pay them off, great, right? Husband said he owed about $3000 on his loans so they went to the very bottom of the importance list.

Husband was wrong. He owes on 3 loans for a grand total of:  $404.72. *sigh* Slightly different than $3000 but hey, I’ll take it.

Hmm. Let’s see if I can find things to sell around the house to pay off these loans.

Loan #1: $98.19

Loan #2: $146.09

Loan #3: $160.44
